President's Club - Day 1

President's Club consists of 4 full days, 5 nights (including arrival and departure days-6 days). We are given a selection of tours of which we choose 2 half day tours and 1 full day tour.  Monaco is a tiny country where the reigning Prince (they choose to be Princes and Princesses instead of Kings/Queens.)   Prince Albert is currently at the throne and makes ALL decisions relating to Monaco. The views are amazing. It is truly the playground for the incomprehendably RICH.

So Day 1 began with an AMAZING breakfast buffet (daily). EAT EAT EAT...... and so so so good. BREAD BREAD BREAD.......and then more!

For this day we chose the Tour of the Palace (half day). It just happened that ALL of my colleagues had also chosen this, so we had a great time!  Some of us didn't go back with the tour bus. Instead we went to the Monaco Oceanographic Musuem . It was very impressive.  Following.....instead of walking back, we wound our way down to the Marina to take the water taxi across. It saved us from walking completely around the bay. So now we can say, we traveled to Monaco by Air, by Land, and by Sea.  Jimmy would be so proud of us!!!!

Then we all hung out at the Hospitality room eating appetizers, drinking wine and beer (if you are wondering, not us!) This night was dinner on our own, so we all went to a cafe near the Monte Carlo Casino. The casino was very ornate and very beautiful. No cameras allowed, so no photos. There were only 2 Blackjack tables and the minimum bet was 25 € !!!!!! (That's about $37!). So only Kyle, Bo and myself played. I came out 50 € ahead. They play a little differently. The dealer deals himself only 1 card face up and only deals himself the 2nd card AFTER players have hit or stayed????? ODD!

Another late night...
Kyle, Irene and me (my partner at work)
Bo and Sarah (my manager)
Jack and Amy..... He's leading us after the palace tour!
Near the palace Monaco
Having lunch and lattes after the palace tour. Kyle and I meet at Starbucks frequently to discuss business ... here we are in Monaco with lattes discussing our plans to win big in the casino
The Oceanagraphy Museum was great!

The casino. We didn't win big
Nothing like a good cigar after the casino!
