His " Biblical Message" series was a huge project he undertook. This museum was fabulous unlike the Matisse Museum. We walked a long way from Chagall to Matisse.... in pouring rain. AND my umbrella (really the Hyatt's) was stolen! It was a disappointment. However, the magnificence of the Chagall Museum made up for it.
Here is a fun fact. Chagall spent much of his life in St Paul, an old medieval village so he is buried there in the Catholic cemetery. We visited it later in the trip. You don't need to read his name.... there are SO MANY stones on it
Enjoy the photos
A couple of his stained glass windows
This is a mosaic he did for the museum. He is the only artist who participated in the creation if the museum and lived to see it completed
Although this photo was taken MANY days later, it completes his story. (This photo was taken on our tour of St Paul in France while on our company President's Club trip) .... stay tuned.....
