On our way to Monaco

Thanks to Otsuka, we were picked up by a driver in a large Mercedes who drove us to Monaco. The drive was about half an hour. The Hermitage Hotel is a jaw dropper...so beautiful and elegant...with very expensive cars parked outside. We registered at the Welcome Desk and decided (not a good one) to take a driver to San Remo. Everyone said we should go (and we didn't pick it as one of our day choice options through the company) so not wanting to miss it, off we went.  The big draw of San Remo is the large open air market.  We had no idea that it was nothing more than a very large flea market!!!!!! The flea market had lots of items made in China, mixed in with French & Italian items. Of course, we both made purchases and ...had frozen yogurt before we left. But, all in all, we should have skipped it...especially since the private driver cost us @ $700 ($160 per HOUR!!!). Our only bad choice so far!!!

Our room is huge, with two double beds, a sitting area, a marble bathroom and a walk in closet. When I looked out the window from our room, I saw a large Star of David on a roof (obviously the synagogue) Who would have thought that the second smallest country in the world would have a congregation? We met Edna's colleagues in the Hospitality Suite ( set up by Otsuka) , then a Welcome reception and then we all ( eight of us) decided to go to a bar by the water. After being rejected from one place (because of our number, our age or maybe our looks..  ( not billionaires), we sat down next door just before it started pouring!!! Our timing was perfect!  By the time we left to walk back.....it stopped with an occasional sprinkle.  Off to our room and a good night's sleep.

The Hermitage Hotel is spectacular

Eating breakfast EVERY morning in style with incredible food ....  non stop!  living like the "rich and famous!"
This is just a sample of the cars you see EVERYWHERE in Monaco..... by the MANY!
