After this culinary falafel delight, we went back to the room at our hotel. Right behind our hotel is a promenade walkway that has the most extraordinary view of both the entire Haifa Bay and the Baha'i Gardens. The same view can be seen from our hotel room window. Gadi, my first cousin, who is a professor at the Technion, was hosting an international symposium. He invited us to join him and two French researchers to go see a movie that night along with his wife, Shlomit. We went to see Fading Gigolo. (English with Hebrew subtitles). Following the movie we all went to Gadi and Shlomit's house on the 26 th floor!!!!! We spent the entire evening talking with three very smart scientists trying to solve the worlds problems. Fortunately for us, English is a global language, so we had no trouble there. At about 12 o'clock midnight, Shlomit brought out delicious ice cream bars for us to eat. Who eats ice cream at midnight? We did! We didn't get home till almost 2 o'clock in the morning!
